HEA President

Linna Jordan
As someone new to the role of President, my biggest goal is to improve my skills and knowledge in the position. I aim to be a bridge between membership and leadership so we can work together better. I have served in several association roles across several levels, but my priority is to help make HEA stronger. HEA is not leadership or rep council alone, but the membership as a whole.
Another goal is to get to know more of our members from across the district. Teaching experience: certified in k-12 Spanish and TESOL. I taught middle and high school Spanish in three central Ohio districts before moving to Texas. I taught a 1-2 bilingual split in Houston ISD where I was certified in bilingual elementary education.

Brittany Alexander
It is my honor to serve as our HEA Vice President. As a new officer, I am learning a great deal and will continue to do so in order to more effectively represent our union. I believe in us and our collective power. Solidarity is not always easy, but it is our greatest strength.
I have been involved in various aspects of our union at the local, regional, state, and national levels. In my 25 years of teaching, I have been privileged to experience different districts, levels, and positions. For the first 14 years of my career, I was an Intervention Specialist. Since then, I have been teaching 6th grade Language Arts.

As the HEA secretary my main goal is communication. I believe we are stronger when we have all the information so membership can make wiser better decisions. Another goal is to build better relationships between members and HEA leadership (officers, exec, and building reps). I look forward to working hard, advocating, and ensuring voices are heard for our membership.

HEA Treasurer
Robin Trafford
I am Robin Trafford the Hilliard Education Association Treasurer, I have held this position since 2008 and hope to continue being your treasurer in the future. Recently we (HEA) have transitioned to Quick Books for maintaining our financial records and accounts related to laws governing union monies, and reporting to the IRS. This has been a long process and was made in conjunction with switching the financial banking firm we have worked with since at least 1997. Thank you for your trust in me as I have served as your Treasurer for this past 12 years.
My experience:
I have been a nurse in HCSD since 1997 with the pleasure of working at all grade levels and most of our district buildings and a proud member of the Hilliard Education Association.
